The Home Office

The Home Office faced a hostile press in the aftermath of the July 7th terrorist bombings in London. It was accused of insensitivity because the compensation offered to the survivors of the attack was perceived as both miserly and insulting. Magnus Communications showed the HO how a powerful media strategy could tackle the negative coverage and put the truth into the headlines.
“I just wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into our Away-Day training session. I’ve had such positive and really encouraging feedback from attendees about your training programme.”
Laura Stevenson, Victims and Confidence Unit, Home Office.
“The most amazing thing about it was that everyone – and we are talking 26 people here – got something out of it. You will probably know how difficult it is to show a room full of people how media training is relevant to what they do in their everyday working lives, but you succeeded in engaging them. Well done!”
Fiona Harrow, Head of Programme Office & Deputy Head of Victims & Confidence Unit, Home Office
“Brilliant insight into the pressures the media work under. Good tips on engaging with local and regional media, and new media."
