Anna-Maria AsheAnna-Maria Ashe

Anna-Maria Ashe is a respected broadcaster who made her name fronting news bulletins, political shows, and travel programmes on Carlton and London Weekend Television. Her considerable skills and ability to handle breaking news stories, have earned her the recognition of New York Industries, and the Royal Society of Television. In a high profile career she has conducted in depth interviews with some of the country’s most powerful figures including the Archbishop of Canterbury Doctor Rowan Williams, theatre director Sir Richard Eyre, the pop star and environmental campaigner Sting and the Duke of Devonshire.

Her sparkling personality, relaxed manner, and easy-going style have made her a firm favourite with British television viewers, qualities that haven’t been lost on The Prince’s Trust. As one of the charity’s leading ambassadors Anna-Maria mentors young people and regularly speaks in schools about media related issues and the art of newsgathering. She has a keen interest in Psychology and that has led to her involvement with groups/organisations that practice Right Relating, a concept that aims to bring greater efficiency and understanding to the work environment. She has recently returned from Indonesia and Malaysia as a guest of The Mercy Mission charity, and saw at first hand the devastating effects of the Boxing Day Tsunami. Anna-Maria has also thrown her full support behind the charity Thare Machi, which uses the latest technology to bring education to some of the world’s poorest women. Her warmth, humour, and professionalism have made Anna-Maria a popular choice for hosting conferences and awards, and Magnus is delighted to have her on our team.
